Bonfire night and I chose Asian Flavours in Far Gosford Street, Coventry for The Longford Curry Club outing. It proved to be a very brief visit because as we sat perusing the menu it became very apparent that alcohol wasn't served on the premises so we gave our apologies and left. Yes, I know, but why NOT pay for a taxi to go all that way and then not drink! Big thanks to Roy for the free limo.Anyway we walked on to The Blue Fusion in Walsgrave Rd, Ball Hill and what a good decision it was.It was a clean and fresh looking restaurant with pleasant, friendly staff. Popadoms and chutneys arrived quickly followed by cold pints of Cobra and another fizzy beverage!I decided on onion bhaji for starters and wasn't disappointed. The waiter was very attentive and looked after us very well. For my main course I ordered a Special Chicken Korai with pilau rice, chapati and a Bombay Potato side dish which was delicious. Sadly we ate our meal with no other diners in the restaurant, yes it was a Tuesday night but this establishment deserves better. Our evening didn't get off to the best start but it ended very well indeed.
