This evening we visited the Nazraj Signature Brasserie in Station Square, Coventry. We travelled to the restaurant by train from Bedworth Station which was ideal as you arrive at the station, walk outside and into a lovely contemporary restaurant which looks so modern and clean. We were shown straight to our table and 2 pints of Mongoose quickly followed. The poppadums and chutneys were really fresh and tasty. For my starter I tried the Malayan Chicken which was described as home made cheese with cardamon herb, charcoal grilled and infused with a fragrance of saffron.... I received a plate of salad with a sizzling platter of chicken which just tasted of chicken. Somewhere along the line, it lost any taste of herbs or spices. For my main course I tried the King Prawn Signature dish which was presented beautifully and tasted just the way it was described. A spicy tangy sauce which was exactly how I like it. Overall the Nazraj is definitely one to try as the staff looked after us well, the food was served looking great and tasting great too. Next time I will try a different starter, but if you never try something different, you will never appreciate all the different tastes and flavours Asian Restaurants have to offer.
