Tonight we ventured in to foreign territory and took a trip to Solihull to The Spice Club. From the very beginning of the meal it's safe to say we've never been treated so well as we were here. As usual we started with poppadoms which were fresh and featured an interesting range of chutneys and dips. I decided to start with Chicken Tikka Puree, this was one of the nicest starters I have ever tasted, the puree was a yoghurt bread and it was incredibly fresh and tasty and the chicken tikka was delicious. For my main course I had Tandoori Murgh Mosalla and it was again a delicious course, this dish is served with a whole boiled egg and lamb minced meat and tandoori chicken, I had pilau rice and a cheese naan bread to accompany it, the cheese naan was one of the softest and cheesiest I've ever had which made it by far the best I've ever had. After the meal ended I was stuffed as were the rest of us but it didn't stop there, following our main course we were treated to complimentary ice cream, then followed by sweets and coffee and to wrap things up a shot, which I was given something different which was a Tia Maria, Baileys and Cream shot which tasted great. The service in the restaurant was top quality and the food itself was faultless, overall in my opinion by far the best restaurant we have visted so far and is definitely worth a visit!
